Spectrometer for low energy gamma-rays
The equipment consists of a germanium detector, a multi-channel analyzer and a HV supply .
The germanium detector is covered by lead blocks of about 5cm in thickness to prevent backgrounds of environmental radiation .¡¡
Radiations emitted from nuclear material are detected by the germanium detector having a thin Be window .
Return
Spectrometer for alpha-rays
The equipment consists of a surface barrier solid state detector (SSD), a multi-channel analyzer and a vaccum chamber .
Because the range of alpha-ray (4MeV) in the air is about 2cm, the SSD is located at the vaccum chamber to reduce energy loss.
Radiations emitted from nuclear material located at the vaccum chamber are detected by the SSD .

The photograph shows the energy spectrum of the nuclear material that contains the uranium .

Return
Propotional counter for alpha-rays and beta-rays.
The equipment consists of proportional counters (PR gas(Ar:90%¡¢CH4:10%)) and personal computer estimating radioactivities .
Ten proportional counters are covered by lead blocks of 10cm in thickness to maintain low backgrounds. Also the veto counter is located at the top of proportional counters .
Alpha-rays and beta-rays emitted from ten samples can be counted at the same time, radioactivities can estimate also .
Return
Survey-meters (NaI scintillator, ZnS and Plastic scintillator, GM-Counter¡Ë
The photograph shows survey meters for the radiation dosimetry (NaI scintillator) and for the radioactivity determination (ZnS and plastic scintillator, GM-tube).
